The Broken Pact is a weekly web series where a group of improvisers, actors and gamers play the tabletop role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons 5e. The show uses the Guildmaster's Guide to Ravnica sourebook to combine Magic the Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons.

The Broken Pact premiered on October 13, 2018 with "Enemy of the Guildpact" (1x01). The first, second, and third seasons aired live on the D&D Twitch channel, and episodes from those seasons are archived on the D&D YouTube channel. The show is also available in podcast form from various podcast services such as Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, and the Saving Throw site.

The latest season of the show, season four, premiered on February 15, 2021, featuring the cast from Dice Ex Machina. Of note, Gaurav Gulati did not return to the show as a cast member, but he did edit the updated intro for the fourth season. Also, the show now airs on the Saving Throw Twitch channel and The Fantasy Network, while still being sponsored by Wizards of the Coast.

Dice Ex Machina[]

Dice Ex Machina is a new series on Saving Throw that involves everyone from The Broken Pact, with Riley Silverman taking the reigns as the GM, Gaurav Gulati taking a producer role behind-the-scenes, Ashlen Rose and Jordan Pridgen staying on as players, Reuben Bresler joining the players as well, and the addition of Danielle Radford to the cast as a player. Dice Ex Machina is also a mix of Magic the Gathering and D&D, this time delving into the Greek mythology-inspired Theros setting. While there may be some easter eggs from The Broken Pact present, these are two separate campaigns that don't require previous knowledge of each other.
