Rupert is the second child of Marchioness Pembroke Iris Wildingham, and so second in line to inherit behind his sister Rosaline.

Rupert's two connections are Daniel Boyd, a friend from their school days, and Grant Wildingham, his father. Daniel is primarily eager to please Rupert, and Rupert doesn't really respect him, although finds him useful and may be fond of him.
